In our home we talk a lot about who we are and who we want to be as a family.  Hospitality is something that is really important to Andrew and I both.  We love cooking and entertaining and find it very important for people to feel relaxed, at home and welcome when they are with us.  Maguire and I made this simple, cute little basket for Andrew's mom who came to stay with us for a night.  It was so fun to teach her why we do things like this and to watch her get excited about putting it together with me. 

Maguire's mom had the sweetest idea where each year Mimi's, Gigi's, Gaga's and Aunties get together and make new Christmas ornaments together.  We had a great time painting our ornaments and having lunch together.  We loved Color Me Mine in Crestview Hills because they have a huge selection of items to paint.  A large variety of colors, sparkles, paint pens, etc to choose from and your ornament is ready to pick up within a couple days.  It's such a fun idea and something different to do on a cold afternoon.
