In August of this year, Andrew and I are headed to South Africa! We're headed there with our church to work with our partner called Build the Future. Build the Future works in informal settlements in South Africa to provide education and meals to kids that wouldn't otherwise receive it. These kiddos often do not have parents because almost an entire generation was wiped out by the HIV/AIDS epidemic, so they are raised by older siblings or grandparents. We are so excited to go but have been working hard to raise money to get there. We started framing signs and I love the way they look! My leaves the ninety-nine sign has been so popular I have 20 orders for it to fulfill. I'm so grateful for everyone's support!

It's not often that our family isn't running around like crazy all weekend. So this weekend we did a little bit of whatever we wanted! It was fantastic. A little tradition I'd love to start with Maguire is baking. I've loved it so much for so long, it's great being able to share it with her. We've made a lemon blueberry cake together, Strawberry Shortcake and today we made Vanilla donuts! She love them. I however thought the icing was a little too thin and powdered surgary. So when we make them again I'll find a new icing recipe but the donuts were really yummy! We used this recipe.

AuthorI love all things creative! I'm happiest when I'm making signs, food, comfy spaces and big pretty dinner tables. I have the sweetest family. I love plants, camping, live music and trying new things. I love cozy movie nights and snacks. Archives
